This website may be legitimate but I wouldn't buy a racquet from China. The price is very cheap although you will have postage and import costs on top.

You are far better buying from a trusted source like Direct Sports than you are looking for the cheapest deal around. There are so many fake racquets in the market so play safe to ensure you get the real thing. Remember, if it sounds too good to be true, there's a reason why!

I have just bought my first ever racket and was also looking on the internet for prices and ideas etc.

I then found a great localish shop who stock Yonex and went there.

The service and advice I received was excellent and was well worth the extra cost over internet prices that I ended up paying.

Another plus factor is that I supported a local business and will go back to them time and time again thus building up a relationship with the shop.

I purchased a racket, shoes, socks & shuttles and paid £140. Internet prices would have been around £120

I am guessing that the £120 in included postage and packaging, even so, you still run the risk of having your items damaged in the post, not to mention having to pick up the parcel from the Post Office if delivery is difficult for you.

And on top of that, seeing what you are buying (scratches or marks or anything) before you pay.

So yeah, in this case, the shop certainly wins. However, not all of us are as lucky to have shops like that near us, but if you do, give them a try first.

Neslo

Enjoy the benefits of a local stockist. The good news is, if you have a problem it's also easier to take the goods back and enquire what went wrong.

Aaaah Pete

You've found me out!!!!!

I wanted to reach 600 by October so I've fallen short of the mark!

Never mind. The good thing for me is that I read every single forum post. there are occasions when I don't feel I can add any more to the topic because other members like you have already answered the question so well. But I feel I have to have some input so that the person who posted the questions knows I've seen it and taken the time to respond.

It's a tricky business this forum stuff.

No Paul, I think you have misunderstood what I was getting at. The same post is being duplicated two or three times. It's happening quite a bit now.

Was that shop in Southport neslo?

I can't find a single shop in Liverpool that sells badminton rackets. (Apart from non specialist high street sports shops) Just wondering if you'd found one. Smile

I can get hold demo racquets for most of the Yonex range although not all. I'm happy to do a demo session or even a one-to-one combined demo/coaching session.

Personally, i would much rather take the time to do these sessions than allow players to buy without testing the racquet.
