Not sure how relevant this is but a friend of mine plays Veterans tournaments regularly and he told me that every shuttle is tested before the competition starts.

I guess it's so you have uniformity but I'd like "shuttle tester" as a job title.

To be fair, "Cock, Knocker" wouldn't be so cool

I love the comment. No doubt other forum members can find equally funny names for our shuttle tester!

 

Yes, shuttles are tested but I'll still guarantee you that many clubs use incorrect speeds.

Hmmmm, what better way to start a league match than ask the opposition, "which one of you is the cock knocker?"

 

The match might start a bit frosty! Laugh

 

I use Yehlex shuttles, the Yellow tube, and they are the bee's knees in my opinion. But it depends on how easy it is to get what ever shuttles for you, as some times when you run out you need a quick delivery!

I mostly buy speed 78 then if the speed is too slow or fast I use Paul's ways of adjusting it it work normally is fine though
