Hello Paul,

Just wanted to say that even in Belgium, your armchair exercices have a lot of success by other players in my club only. They are easy to do and the results are very encouraging people to improve their game. For those who don't have time to go on the Internet, I just show them quickly one or two of your exercices.

It's a pity that England is so far from Belgium otherwise your coaching weekend would have more success. I hope one day I can join one of them Cool.

Jonathan.

Hi Jonathan

We have a player flying from USA for the next course in Spetember.

With that in mind, Belgium isn't too far away.

Historically I have personally collected players from Manchester airport and taken them to Lilleshall. Phil from Ireland can confirm that. I'll be doing the same for Winston when he arrives from USA so we do try to make your trip as easy as we can when we have visitors from abroad.

Timing is key here and a lot of forearm strength. Technique is everything. Grip also is important as u could be accidently slicing the shuttle if u havent a full thumb grip but depends a lot on player.

Pauls right. I went to the 1st 3 coaching weekends. Learned a lot and will def be back again. Paul got me at the airport and kept good care of me. made the weekend lot less stressful as I didnt have to worry bout lifts etc etc. I could focus on badminton :)

I also got to the finals of a dublin tournament at the weekend there. Jus ran out of steam at the end so cheers paul for all the help and advice over the years and Matt also :)

Phil

Congratulations on your final result. you must be pleased to have reached a final. The good thing is you say you ran out of steam rather than you discovered too many holes in your game. That must be encouraging as it's easier to work on your physical fitness rather than technqiue.

Thanks also for confirming our previous arrangements. It made sense for Phil to fly into Manchester rather than get the ferry and drive to the residential weekend. It also meant that on Sunday, when he was tired he had an easy trip – I did the driving.
