Hi Paul,  I'd just like to thank you for the work you have done with my Daughter.  As a background for other members I submitted a video of her overheads to Paul as the Regional Coach wasn't happy with them.  The next morning I had a reply from Paul with his opinion of her play which he felt was good, and some routines to try which he wanted me to feed back any results. I have to say that some of the key points that needed working on were spot on and made immediate improvements,  not only to her but me as well!  As we don't live that far away Paul asked if we would like to meet up for a coaching session – an offer we are both very pleased we took up.
We met at Paul's local sports centre where Paul was just as he had seemed on the phone – very friendly and made us feel welcome straight away. We had a warm up and then Paul played some rallys with us after which he had a chat with me, asking me what we wanted to improve and also what he thought was already good and what he thought he could improve. I won't go into detail but she's had a lot of coaching from various people,  all good and all right but I think Paul had a great analagy when he said "It's like trying to phone somebody – If you don't get the numbers in the right order, you won't get through to who you want to speak to!" Over the next 2 hours he worked on various points of her play, each of which made an immediate improvement. To say I was impressed is an understatement. At least 4 of the shots we worked on have already made a marked difference to her game and these aren't "quick fixes" but key changes that neither I or anyone else has pointed out to her before.  Hindsight is a great thing and it's easy to see something when it's been pointed out to you but having the knowledge and skill to work out what "does it " for an individual is a rare quality that is hard to find. The next week we practised the shots and routines Paul had done with us and they started to feel "right" pretty quickly – probably because they are.
She had a tournament on the Sunday so I made sure we went over these shot one last time on the Saturday as I was sure they would make a difference.  I wasn't wrong. She won all three events which she was obviously exstatic about but I was more pleased with the way she did it and the fact that the coaching Paul had given her via email & phone to me and in person had already made such a difference to her game and also made her "look" a better player which has also impressed the Regional coach.

I know this post probably sounds a bit OTT and over grateful but that's what we both are!

We look forward to working with you again soon!

Cheers,  MIke.

Its so good to hear peoples success stories. I love to hear how hard work pays off! Congratulations to your daughter! She must have played extremely well to win so many games and categories! More success from hard work and a helping hand from our online coach Mr Stewart!

Michael

The afternoon was a really fun session.

All I want from players is to "get it" and improve at a pace that suits them. You won't believe how thrilled I was to hear how Isabelle had won all three events. Most important was the way she went about it, not only beating players she's never beaten before, but thrashing them!

No doubt we'll have another session in the future – another perk of being on my Online Coaching Program and living relatively close to me.

Paul
