I’m just planning a play list for the up coming season, and was wondering does anybody else do this?

If so do you use upbeat music or calming music?

What’s your favourite track?

I don't have a playlist but if I did, it'd be Rage Against The Machine first album!

I like to mix things up a bit but Guns N Roses always seems to find it's way onto my badminton playlist.

I'll show my age a little here. Whilst I haven't trained to music for some time, that's because I haven't trained for …some time!

What I used to train to is the themes to Rocky films. I also used to play fast rallies to I'm So Excited by Pointer Sisters and Holding Out For A Hero by Bonnie Tyler. Ah, those were the days.

I am thinking about whether to bring music to the next Advanced course in two weeks. It needs thinking about very carefully purely because of logistics – I have so much equipment to take. If I do I think I'll modernise a little but one or two favourites will probably find a way in there.

I use Fire in your eyes by Chase and Status to motivate me prior to a match, it's a really good slow build up.

I've never used music to train to, I find it off putting on court as I'm not used to it.

I find you can't beat a bit of northern soul to get the juices going.

Helps the footwork as well.

I like Gipsy Kings; in the past I used to practice footwork (for another sport, not badminton)  and Gipsy Kings is good for practicing small & quick movement (for example hitches or chasse — I like to imagine how people dance and try to mimic them)
