Hi everyone!

I am Currently attending University of California in Davis as a second year Biochemistry major (as of Mar 2010).

Current go-to rackets are the Zelm PowerPlay 10000 and the Panda Power Trinity 2. I consider myself able to play on a low to mid D-level, but I still lack some of the basic shots. I prefer feather birdies (Aeroplane) and ZyMax 67 at 23 pounds. I am an avid racket collector, always eager to try out new ones. I prefer feather birdies (Aeroplane) and ZyMax 67 at 23 pounds. I am an avid racket collector, always eager to try out new ones.

I try to play as much as possible, but because of time constraints due to studies, I find I am usually limited to 2-6 hours a week. I’ve only been playing for about a year and a half, but I love the sport and really would love to improve to A-level, though I understand this may take decades of hard work.

I hope to learn much, and contribute what little I know. Thanks to Paul for working hard and helping us out with his coaching website and these forums.

Cheers,

Gian

Hi Gian

Welcome aboard.

You certainly have some interesting rackets. I’ve not seen a Zelm racket.

Personally, if you put the time into this great sport, I believe you can see a rapid improvement if you focus on skill. Hopefully, I’ll be with you every step of the way.

If you work on improving basic skills such as grip changing, your ability will quickly improve. It shouldn’t take decades to reach a high level if you’re shown the way.

Make sure you ask a lot of questions, and request videos on your main areas of learning. After all, the subject will also be relevant to many other forum members.

Paul
