There's a number of interesting points here that many may miss.
1) yes, if you were able to win the first game, why not the match? So what happened in the first game that you didn't replicate in the second? Was it intensity of play, fewer errors, a change of tactics by your opponents, fitness issues, belief issues, an inability to adjust to new situations?
2) the liklihood is that there are a combination of factors. Your determination to win may have been a positive, but I wonder whether mindset regarding winning two rounds and an underlying belief that you were the weaker pair had more to do with this defeat?
3) Where do you need to master a lift from? Are you talking about a lift from a smash, a lift from the net, a lift from a drop shot? There's lots of ways to do this. I'm sure forum readers have a few ideas when we know what the question is.
