Thanks Roger, some days is a struggle to do it, but I just have to force myself to do it. Tomoro is Pure cardio and Cardio abs. Should be quick fast intense workout.

On plus side, I have 2 hours of Badminton tonight so cant wait to play. Good games 🙂

Phil

I echo everyone's comments here. I'm thrilled for you for achieving so much and thank you for sharing this with us. I now feel completely knackered and ready for a rest and you're the one who's done the hard work. Hopefully I'll be running again tomorrow if I get some time off work.

Thanks Paul and everyone. Its a struggle but ive started so I will FINISH!!! I promise you all here I will do 4 months of this. I will FINISH!!

Badminton last night went well. I felt good, I felt fit and stronger than last week but I know there is more in the tank! I know I can get fitter!

Day 16 – Pure Cardio & Cardio Abs (54 mins) – Tuesday 20th August

Today was hard work. It was a struggle getting up but I did it and improved. This is the no breaks workout and I almost always got stuck at leap frogs near the end. So hard on the legs. I slowed it down and pushed on through and I beat it!!! This was such a nice feeling. Just need to beat the suicide jumps at the end!

Cardio abs I found very hard last time and I stopped so many times even at the start but this time, I got through the 1st set fantastic, no breaks. Was great feeling seeing the improvement!!

Day 18 – Cardio Power & Resistance (39 mins) – Thursday 22nd August

OMG – this was the worse workout day ive had so hard. he badminton last night was great!! But tough on the fitness. I was struggling at the end cause I was wrecked from 2 hours of it.

I woke this morn feeling it, I forced myself out and did it but I just couldnt go as fast or as hard as normal. My muscles were too tired. Im not used to playing twice a week on this program. Am sure I will get used to it.

I wanted to give the day a miss at the start and I wanted to stop so many times during it cause I was wrecked but I kept at it and althou it wasnt my best performance, Im glad I did it.

Have been reading your posts everyday Phil (tis hard work, feel like I'VE done the work out after I've read your posts Laugh).

As everyone else has says, keep up the good work, three weeks is quite a long time and you have quite a way to go so you will be tested every day as your near the end of the three month period. I really hope you do it, and even though I don't know you, I also really think you WILL do it!

Good work and keep it up, everyone is reading your posts even if they don't comment every day Smile

Here is a link for a video of Lin Dan getting back to fittness

P.S. For me, it sound like an over the top way to get fit (well, you did say in the topic title to be fair Laugh), but then I'm knackered after looking after my two kids so if anyone suggests exercise it's normally greeted with a huff followed by falling asleep! Laugh

Peter

Thanks for the link. Players do not realise how important core muscle strength is in badminton. The strength here allows for faster turning speed, controlled upper body and a great deal of power generating through the core.

Excellent to see.
