Again I noticed a new thing tonight. My smash is not the most massive of the club, and I think I found out why. I just gave a little more punch in my legs to get behind the shuttle, just a few centimeters no more. And I immediately had the feeling my smash was more powerful then on other occasions. It also gave me a feeling I could more control the direction of the shuttle, and the accuracy. I was less fatigue after all those smashes too. So, only pro's, no con's. Looks promising.

Cheers, ED

Ed

There comes a time with a player that they realise that improvement is all about noticing the small things. And that's the issue. You see most players are still looking for huge leaps when they've already gone past the point of noticing them.

Continuous improvement is all about finding small changes. When you can find these changes in every aspect of your game, movement, racquet skills, hand skills etc then you're really going to make huge leaps in your game.

So, look for the tiny things. in other words break down your movement into the smallest parts. Which part is the weakest? Fix it. Then, look at another part of your game.

So, well done Ed. You've finally noticed the tiniest change and got a result. Brilliant!

Paul
