Yes, the gold limited edition shoe is expected this year, possibly around June, ahead of the Olympics.

There is a lot of new clothing, shoes, racquets and bags coming out from Yonex this year. From what I've seen we are in for a treat in 2012.

Hello Paul,

It's been a while since I haven't posted here.

I wanted to ask you if you had users' reports for the Yonex SHB 102. As you know, I'm currently a SHB 101 user (have two pairs) but I'm looking for something “better”. The SHB 102 seem to be more reinforced at the front than the SHB 101 where my first pair got ripped.

I might be tempted by the SHB 102 Lady due to the fact that the colours are less flashy than the SHB 102 LTD or MX although I may need to get one or two size bigger for it to suit my foot. It might be laughable but I know a player who does it and he loves his SHB 102 Lady for the comfort it procures.

I'm also interested in Victor SH9000 Ace but I'm afraid I won't be able to get them in Belgium. They look so nice and apparently had a lot of good feedback.

Thank you in advance, Paul.

I don't know much about 102 as it's not been a popular shoe in UK.

9000Ace i saw recently and was very impressed. It's a very expensive shoe at around £100 + but also very, very good indeed. I know where you can get it in UK and have it shipped to Belgium but have no idea of shipping costs. i expect shipping costs will make this shoe too expensive but you can certainly get the shoe.

I would have thought you could also get the Victor shoe from Germany as Victor Europe is based there. No doubt there are a few online shops in Germany who stock the product. I'd be surprised if Victor website does not list the German stockists.

Sorry i can't help more on the Yonex shoe. I use SHB65 FT which I think is a really nice shoe. I didn't like 102 when I saw it and haven't seen a player wear them yet. I still see players using 101's which suggests that 102 has not found favour at all.

Let me know by personal email if you want any help.

I have no option but to risk purchasing my badminton shoes online as no sports shops anywhere near where I live (Gloucestershire) seem to sell badminton shoes.. at all… it makes me mad going into all the sports shops.. they just sell football, rugby, running and tennis shoes…   is badminton really that rare a sport these days ? it is an olympic sport !!

I think I will just buy the best online.. or at least those worn by the best player.. Lee Won Chei :—) and hope they fit me nicely.. I was advised to buy a half size or a whole size up when buying Yonex shoes so that is what I will do.

If it's any guide, I usually wear a size 7 shoe but am wearing size 8 Yonex shoes. I know exactly what size to get now so I can order online with confidence.

If you haven't done so, I'd order from Direct sports as they tend to look after customers really well.

Paul,

I buy all my badminton equipment from DirectSports now. :–)

The shoes I want are not in my size on their but they are not in my size anywhere in the U.K.. looks like those Lee Won Chei special editions (SHB-102 LTD) Black/Yellow did not make many at many sizes :–(  weird they sell the same shoe but in red colour for an extra £20 .. that is crazy !

Think I will have to settle for some others.. maybe the SHB 85 LTD.

i thought LCW was wearing SHB 92 in yellow although do know which shoes you are talking about. Yes, he wore them for a very short time but the only shoe he has worn for over a year are SHB92.

The SHB85 limited edition shoes that were brought out for the world championships are still around but I don't think there are too many left. i have a pair in blue/black and red/black but must confess that I haven't worn them much. I still love my white shoes.

I wear Asics 1130V.  They are listed as a volleyball shoe.  These are the best court shoe I've worn to date.

Yonex Doesn't fit my foot properly, unfortunately.

Definitely don't skimp on the shoes, they are the most important piece of equipment you will buy!

Marc

So I finally found a pair of Yonex that fit, unfortunately they're yellow (Just kidding I'm ok with yellow).  They've got a few

more months in them, but I'm already looking ahead to see what's going to be available.  Is the SHB92 done? Will there be a 93?

I figure since I've worn yellow I can wear anything, so how are the SHB86's? Are they a wide shoe?
