Personally I think the Yonex grap wears out too quick and is quite expensive. I use Pro’s Pro wrap which is the same thickness, slightly more “stickier” and is WAY more cheaper! I brought a box of them and worked out about 50p a grip!
The problem with grips is when you come to change them, the sticky backs sometimes take a layer off the grip underneath that (if there is one) and after awhile it becomes uneven, whereas the wrap (or grap as Yonex like to call it as they are “special”) can be taken off quickly and new one put on and will be nice and flat.
That’s just my 2p

Karakal grip is nice. Got to ask, what is it about grap that you don’t like?
Karakal grip is thicker than Yonex grap. It’s reasonably absorbant. Yonex make a vistually identical grip but I’m not sure whether it’s available where you are. It’s in UK catalogue.

Is it the hi soft? It is like Peter said. I found that wears to fast.

One of the best grips I tried recently was Victor wishbone. It’s a beauty.
Grap does wear out quick, but it’s a thin grip. It’s not very absorbant. So, if you sweat a lot, then you should consider are old friend towelling grip and use the grip powder. Let’s face it, virtually all professional players use towel grip because of it’s absorbant qualities. Whilst it’s thick, towel needs changing frequently.

Is it the fishbone or wishbone and is it a replacement grip or overgrip? I may try this one. I found on a webshop the Victor Fishbone grip.
In Belgium we have towel grip but I don’t find grip powder in Belgium. I have a question about the towel grip: is it a replacement grip or a overgrip?

my typo – it’s fishbone. It’s both a replacement grip or overgrip depending how you like your grip.
Towel is more an overgrip although i have known players remove the leather grip and fit a towel grip. As always, it’s down to personal taste.
You can get grip powder. Do an online search, I’m sure you’ll find it. You can always buy it from mybadmintonsore.com

I think the website Paul means is http://www.mybadmintonsTore.com (another typo, not that I’m counting or anything).
The only think I would say if you do order the poweder from mybadmintonstore is to allow plenty of time for the product to arrive as this can take ages, 4 weeks or so. So plan ahead where you can. Though that said, the stuff on mybadmintonstore are pretty good and worth the wait. I have used them a fair bit, and if it wasn’t for the long delivery times, I would probably buy more from them, but then they are in China.
Worth a go though.
Happy gripping!

Hey
My coach uses the towel grip from yonex. I use a head heavy Voltric 70 when i play, with the grip that came with it. Would the towel grip be able to balance out that head heavy racket a bit, because the one i use right now doesn't feel very nice. I do sweat a lot, as my partner never does any running, and i play in Australia. Its kinda hot over here, so would the towel grip be the best suggestion.
