I recently acquired a Yonex Arcsaber 11 and just want to share my thoughts on it.

Racket name: Arcsaber 11
Weight: 3UG5
String: Yonex Nanogy98 @ 26lbs
Grips: original grip + one layer of Yonex 102 over grip.

Initial thought: Well so to say it is not much of a different from the arcsaber 10. I feel it is less head heavy than the arcsaber 10 by a thin line. But to a surprise it is much easier to defense with: my lifts feel lighter and drives are crispier, although not by much but very noticeable. Driving with this racket is a pleasure and tight net shots will always find a way overt the net. Power wise it is still the same: decent power with good accuracy. The new control cap is hardly felt by hand but rather by eyes if look closely enough.

To sum it up: not much of an upgrade from arcsaber 11 but for the fans who have eagerly been waiting for a new arcsaber it’s sorta quench the thirst. Arcsaber 10 is already a great racket and a significant improvement without changing th characteristics of the arcsaber line is nearly impossible. I feel like Yonex did an OK job with the arcsaber 11 but for some hard critics out there it might not be enough.

A racket is a personal choice so try and feel for yourself but for its hefty price tag I think just holding on to the arcsaber 10 is not a bad choice.

Nathan

Many thanks for the review.

I understand the Arcsaber 11 has a thinner shaft than Arcsaber 10 and different materials. At some stage I'll test and review this racket and will then comment on playability.
