I came across this never-heard-brand from Korea which developed by Park Joo Bong. (http://www.joobong.com/eng/main/main.asp) And as i was so interested in purchasing and already contacted their Thai branch, for info product TP505 and TJB10 PLUS which one of their high-end top rackets, my heart was starting to wonder about decision in purchasing this never-heard-brand.
Therefore, i’d really appreciate if there’s some review on this brand, especially those two hi-end rackets i mentioned above.
PS: I have some inquiries about VICTOR SPIRA 21, GOSEN RYOGA TENBU/ISSEN, & RSL LASER 9900 but i will post them in different threads.
Thank you.

I’m a great fan of Park Joo Bong. In my opinion, he’s one of the best doubles players there’s ever been. I knew he had established his own racquets business years ago, but it didn’t break into UK market. The dominance of Yonex and Carton brands over the last 30 years makes this a difficult market.
Park is currently using Yonex equipment as he’s Head Coach in Japan and doing a great job. It won’t be long before Japanese players are winning major tournaments if their progress continues.
If Park’s business is as good as his playing career, then the racquets will be first class. It’s tough to decide when so few players can offer an opinion. Perhaps you could establish the racquets in your country and advise us how good they are?

My own country has tons of local brand which were developed by senior-retired pros! as such Astec (Allan Budikusumo & Susi Susanti), Fly Power (Arbi), DART (Ricky Subagjo), etc.. all were upper world-winners in 90’s ! Even Yonex, Wilson, Li Ning, Victor, Carton, and any other foreign brands had difficulty in market penetration in Indonesia. Therefore, i personally don’t think Joobong stands any chance in finding customers in my country.
Paul, aside hi-end Yonex rackets, i realized 90% of Asian rackets were mass manufactured in China (Yonex, Victor, Li Ning, Joobong, some of RSL rackets, etc). Even RSL shuttlecock plant was established in China as the biggest in the world. In your opinion, do all these have contributed in winning dominance of Chinese team players? (Sorry i got this off topic.)

I beleive that the dominance of China in world badminton is because the chinese have more players. They have a far better coaching system, working from children at very young ages.
I also believe that there is greater opportunity to succeed in sport because of the facilities that are available to players who are good enough to get into the training system and the rewards are far greater too.
What we don’t know are the size of casualties from these schools…whether there are high percentage of players who never make it and leave the schools injured.
China is the envy of the world in view of the resources they have to succeed in badminton. The sheer fact that it’s virtually the no1 sport in the country attracts the kids. In UK, our kids want to play football, hockey, cricket and netball. Only a tiny proportion ever pick up a badminton racquet. How do we, or most other countries compete against the might of China with such small numbers to choose from?
