I thought the place I’m demoing them from got unstrung rackets – but yonex only deliver factory-strung rackets, so that’s what the Arcsaber11 is.

I haven’t researched string tensions, but Paul’s post was very useful and instructive. 24lbs now looks extremely naive – I’ll probably go for 22 or 23lbs (so once the strings lose their first bit of tension it is in the right area).

And since feel is supposed to improve with higher tensions, that could fix one of my gripes with the Z-Slash.

Paul – that looks like a great method, I’ll keep it in mind for my next demo session. Thanks!

So I had my other session.

My impressions remain pretty much the same.

Here's how they affected my game:

Arcsaber 11 – This racket made me want to concentrate on my precision and “flow” of my shots more than anything – dangerous, since it made me slow down. I'd pick this for a lazy game.

Arcsaber 8DX – If I were designing a racket, this would be it. Lovely balance and swingweight, makes you want to dance all over the court. I'd pick this for matches.

Arcsaber Z-Slash – Like being on adrenaline. This racket made me want to go all out, and it was so easy to use that I didn't get fatigued. However, this was the only racket I felt would force me to improve my game. My precision and racket awareness need to be sharp with this, while maintaining the speed to get power out of this racket. This is what I'd choose for training – and ultimately, for matches.

So yeah, Arcsaber Z-Slash for me! Thanks again, Paul and Rob, for the brilliant advice.
