Many thanks for your comments. I receive an average of 30 emails per week from players wanting to know the best racket for them. It gets a little frustrating when I write so much about rackets that players do not understand I won't select a racket for them. I am glad that I am considered a down-to-earth reviewer although some have suggested I am biased because of my Yonex sponsorship. If that's the case, surely I would rate all of their rackets 4-5 stars!
I am concerned that my website has become a racket review site and that was never the intention. I will be writing a series of articles soon, when I've tested the next 5 rackets coming in and before testing Adidas rackets which is bound to happen. But, I really wish to get into some meaty, meaningful articles on the game and continue with the 100 videos I wish to collate into a series. However, work has to come first so I have so little time left.

WOW, that is alot of emails regarding the same topic!
I can understand why you are getting frustrated dealing with the same topic which is very specific and you dont want the website to turn into merely a racket review site. I believe you give more than enough clear and coherent guidance for players who wish to buy a new racket over and over again on the forums, in the comments for racket review articles and in the in-depth articles you have written about choosing a new racket. You also raise key questions to ask for players to ask when choosing a racket, which I have found very helpful. What a shame readers are still bombarding you with the same questions and then they get frustrated with you for not giving them a simple answer to a complex and very specific question (without ever meeting them)!!!
Look forward to future meaty articles, reviews and videos!!!
Thanks for all your input,
Graham

Not to mention that all of this is available for FREE!
If people thought about how long it took them to write a post, image how long it takes Paul to write all the replies! Paul does a grand job and it is very nice of you to tell him so. I agree with a lot of your two posts. At the end of the day, people only think of themselves I'm afraid. This is the way the modern world is going. They join this site, ask about rackets, get what ever information they need and leave.
I also miss the days of badders.com, where you could talk about general chat about badminton and tournaments that were going on, it's such a shame it disappeared as it was one of it's kind.
Maybe Paul should have a donate section after a racket article or help page. Might sound daft but it's one way people could show their appreciation for what Paul does, and it doesn't have to be a huge donation either.

Thanks for your comments as usual.
There is no reason why this forum cannot work like Badders.com, after all it's a forum. I am happy to have chatter about All Englands or any other tournament, or most subjects badminton to be honest. So fill your boots and start up new topics whenever you like.
With regard to a donation section, whilst it's very nice, I really can't live with that. I love what I do and am more frsutrated at times with what get's in the way of doing more. I have spent a long time looking through old footage of coaching at Lilleshall and there is so much we can do in erms of releasing this footage. But, we also have a new software to allow us to slow down, draw diagrams etc on the video and add voiceover to create a true coaching tool. We can also lift youtube videos and show specific rallies broken down and analysed.
Whilst this all sounds fantastic, the amount of man hours alone to create even 20 videos is unbelieveable. So what I am going to do is launch maybe 1-20 per set and charge something like £20 per annum to view. I'll then continue to add other sets until there is a huge library of video and coaching content. I had hoped to have the first set by the end of March but that's become the impossible deadline with so much happening workwise. Then we have Easter too, so it's more likely to run into April/May.
I am treating myself tonight to actually visiting a club to play rather than coach. I haven't played in nearly 3 years and before that 20 years so I am really looking forward to having a night off as a coach.
The All Englands this year was more of a learning event than previous. I've been watching very carefully for the little things this year and have therefore seen a lot to think about, list and then work on. I am more determined than ever to find that elusive something every player can adapt into their technique to boost their power, and really believe this time I have found it. So the next three months is going to be spent experimenting until I can unlock this particular element and then present it in a completely coachable way. I do like to climb mountains!
