I was wondering if anyone has any experience with these two Rackets and what their thoughts are?

Paul – I understand you are associated with Victor? Have you had the opportunity to try either/both of these?

Over the weekend Gobi allowed me to take a look at his 7400 and it felt really good in the hand, though unfortunately I couldn't test it. He then showed me the latest Victor brochure and the 7350 also caught my eye.

I've gone through various rackets over the last 18 months or so but yet to find the one that 'feels right', ranging from the Voltric 80 where it had nice solid power initially but I felt I struggled with the stiffness over time.

About 6 months ago I started being coached by a new coach and he suggested I needed a lighter racket to which I then got the Karakal SL70. It certainly has its positives but I almost feel it is too light, I have timing issues with it hitting the frame quite frequently and feel it just lacks that extra 'oomph' needed at times to finish off a rally.

My favourite racket that I've had most success with was the original version of the Carlton Vapour trail tour, sadly that had broken a while ago. Although that was an even balanced racket, I've certainly grown a liking towards the head heavy feel to rackets since then.

So pretty much the Light fighter 7400 and 7350 caught my attention being a light weight, flexible and head heavy range of rackets.

Cheers

I have all of the Victor range as demo rackets. 7350 is the latest model and i haven't had the chance to play with it, mainly because I also received 6 other rackets at the same time which will be tested and reviewed first.

Lightfighter 7400 is an excellent racket. It has the extra weight in the head to give it a lot more feel compared to the other rackets in the series. And yet, it's still really light. I have a player in my club who has two of them and hits really hard, strings them up around 26lbs and he's an excellent player.

For some these rackets are simply too light. They're great in defence but lack punch in attack. However, there's no doubting they are really quick and have a lot more substance to them compared to Flashboost. They are also stronger.

7350 is very striking in a lovely red colourway. Specs are different to 7400 and from memory include a more flexible shaft.

Owen, depending where you are in UK, there could be a Victor ambassador in your area who will have the demos for you to try.

Thanks for the info Paul.

From the specs I'm leaning more towards the 7350 but of course can never be so sure unless they are tested out.

I live in Nottingham, I had a look at the victor sport UK site and it doesn't seem like there is a Victor ambassador nearby.

Cheers

Contact Ben at Victor UK. He'll gladly post a couple to you for testing if you ask. Mention you've been on my forum and tell him you're playing for England.

Hi Paul

Would I be able to contact Ben at this email info@victor-sport.co.uk or is there anywhere that I will be able to find Ben's email address?

I did find him on facebook but as he doesn't know me, I thought it wouldn't be the best place to contact him.

Hi Paul

Just to keep you updated. Have been in contact with Ben over the last few weeks and he has sent out both rackets for me try out that have just been delivered today. He also sent a TK6000 to try although I know it's a different range compared to the Light Fighter rackets but your review on it really caught my attention and I thought it wouldn't hurt to give it a try! 🙂

On first handling I really like the feel of the 7350 in the hand, though something feels 'off' for a lack of a better term for me about the 7400, doesn't feel as 'natural' in the hand for me. The TK6000 feels pretty good too.

Of course I won't know which I would really like and prefer until I start having a hit with them which fortunately will be tonight 🙂
