I'm really interested in this series because all I've read about it makes it look like the ultimate raquet for me, so I want to ask if some of you (especially Paul) could give me a bit more info especially about the upcoming raquets.
In the Voltric 70 review there's written something about 7 and 5, whilst a dealer who is always at the tournaments around here told me that first there's going to be Voltric 80 which he said will come out around the 10th of February. He said this is basically Voltric 70 with a stiff shaft if I remember correctly.
Whilst were at 70, can anyone tell me how much of a difference a medium flex shaft makes compared to a stiff (I've only played with stiff or very stiff racquets so far)?

The Voltric 5,7 and VT80 will be launched at this years All England Championships. It's unclear when the racquets will be on sale in UK as yet, however I expect late March or April. That said, they may be sold at All Englands.
There's no official UK data yet but 5 and 7 will be medium flex racquets made of different materials, but still retaining the ethos of the Voltric range.
VT80 is a lot stiffer version. I'm not sure yet whether Lee Chong Wei is using this racquet. He has been testing it. It could be that a VT90 will follow that LCW will use, replacing his beloved AT900P.
There will also be a new range of Arcsaber racquets launched at All Englands.
Sorry I can't help much more yet. It's only a matter of weeks before we'll have the data.

I should be getting my hands on new Voltric racquets on Tuesday. Not sure whether the new VT80 will be included at this stage or whether I'll have to wait for the following week when it makes an appearance at All Englands.
Depending how much time I have with the racquets next week, I'll give you my first impresions.

From what I can gather, the difference between the 80 and 70 (in laymans terms) is that the 80 has a stiffer shaft and is more head heavy.
There's something about nanoprene technology in the shaft of the 80 that makes it thinner and transfers more energy to the head but I don't understand any of that.
The VT7 and VT5 have a medium shaft and the 5 is slightly heavier. Both head heavy.
Not a lot of difference in price with the 70/80 but the 7/5 are about half the price of them so I guess they're being aimed at the less serious players.
Really looking forward to Paul's reviews.

Guys
With a bit of luck I'll have the Voltric range in my bag as demos when we go to Lilleshall in March. Can't promise but it's likely that we'll have them. I may also be given a few Voltrics that players can buy if they like them.
You should also check out the new Yonex string BG66 Ultimax. It really is the best of the BG66 range by a country mile. I'd even go as far to say I think it's better than BG80.
