I think you're right Matt, my biggest strength is my defence and the VT70 really suits that.
I think I've made the mistake of buying a racket to strengthen parts of my game I wanted to improve when I should be getting a racket that suits me and using good old fashioned training to get better.
Kinda worrying that age isn't making me any wiser.

The problem is it’s very easy to get carried away with ther marketing and therefore make a rash (magic wand) decision.
VT70 is a very good racquet and provides a lot of everything. VT80 for me is awesome but I accept it will not suit everyone. The good thing is there will be a string market for a second hand, hardly used VT80 right now so hopefully you won’t lose much on the racquet and can afford to buy yourself a spare VT70.
