In the UK very few players play with Carbonex 21 as it is not sold here. This was one of my favourite rackets of all time. Cab 21 was used by most of the top Yonex sponsored players in mid 1980’s.

From memory it has a stiff thin shaft and is even balance, as most rackets were in those days. It was quick and powerful.

That’s all I can take you.

Hi,
It seems the CAB21 is back in production and is available from UK Yonex retailers, I don’t know whether it is made of the same materials or is an upgraded version of the original.

Very surprised to see this racket for sale from a UK retailer. Yonex UK do not advertise the racket as part of their range so I can only summise that Yonex UK brought a few into the country and offered to their best customers.

I can only remember good things about this racket however technology has moved on so I cannot comment whether this is the identical frame construction.

CAB 21 is still available in Malaysia. There also CAB 35 and CAB 50. Both CAB 35 & CAB 50 is enhance CAB model with latest material and technology.

Cab 21 is one of those rackets that players like. It’s iconic and still has a great feel. Sometimes new technology is introduced but it just doesn’t have the same feel and performance as the older rackets. I think this is true of the Carbonex series. There are so many new rackets, but if you play well with Cab 21 then why change?
