Hi Paul

I am an intermediate player and looking to invest in one racket this Thanksgiving. I cam across 2 rackets

1. Yonex Isometric 865

2. yonex nanospeed 300

Do you have any specific recommendations on the one i should buy. The price is same for both here in the US ($70).

Pls suggest

Thanks

Ksarkar

I'm asked this kind of question virtually every day. Racquet choice is very personal because whoever you talk to, at the end of the day, we are not you and therefore do not really know your likes/dislikes for a racquet and your current skill set.

That said, here's a couple of thoughts for you. You could consider the ISO because it would appear to be a higher specification and yet a good price because it's a discontinued model. It's only a matter of time, if you continue playing badminton, that you will outgrow the racquet and be on the lookout for your next racquet. So, the higher spec may suit you better for the moment.

Or, you could think you would rather have a model that is still in the current Yonex range. If you like it, this could be your racquet for years until you begin your search again.

Both are good racquets, so depending on your agenda, and your thoughts about your possible badminton future, you need to choose which racquet you feel more comfortable with. If you can, pick them both up and decide which feels best.

Paul
