Hello everyone,
As Paul said before, Yonex will come out with some new rackets.
I guess that some of you have seen the ” Ltd edition ” rackets of Yonex but as the specs of those 3 rackets haven't changed so I don't have any interest in it but they look so coooool :D. Finally, Yonex has some gorgeous rackets with new colour scheme.
Paul mentionned a new range which will replace the armortec series. After some research on Internet, I've found the name of “Voltric-70”. Does anyone have any picture or a date of release ?

There are a range on Signature racquets on offer from September in UK and Europe. Taufik, LCW and Peter Gade have at least 3 signature racquets each. There's the top end Z Slash, Arc 10 and AT900 Power which most players know about. There's also the Alpha series too which will bear their signature.
The Voltric 70 is a new concept in racquet technology that is due to be introduced in September/October. I expect it will launch at Japan Open which would fit with Yonex current thinking of introducing in line with 2011 clothing range and with this tournament being on “home” soil.
I've not seen any pictures of Voltric 70 yet. I do know it's been in testing for some time. I think it was considered for release at All Englands this year but wasn't ready. I also think there was consideration for this being released as the latest Armortec racquet.
I'm sure more information will be released in due course. I'm expecting the racquet to appear around November in UK as we seem to be last getting the new products. I also expect Yonex to follow the timings and the marketing pattern that was so successful with Arcsaber Z Slash.

Oh maaaan,
November ? It's too loooooooong
Do you know if it's gonna be a full new range or is it just one racket which will be the “most advanced” Armortec like the Z-Slash is the most advanced in ArcSaber range?
It would have been nice for me to buy a “Armortec-600” version of that new range, a flexible and head-heavy racket haha

I expect the Voltric 70 will be the beginning of a new range. It's anyones guess what it will replace but i expect the Armortec range to slowly disappear.
Lee Chong Wei is one of a few players still using the AT series. The AT900 series has been a good seller for Yonex and maybe they think it's time to retire it. The Armortec range isn't as big as Nanospeed. There have been so many new Arcsabers and more are planned that I do not feel the Arcsaber range will be dropped for some time.
So, when you survey the ranges, it's seems obvious to me that Armortec range will be retired and replaced with Voltric series – unless Yonex decide to increase their ranges to 4.
It could be that these racquets will be released sooner. However, there is no news of Voltric in Yonex UK yet or a release informing us that AT900's have stopped production. But, I believe it's only a matter of time.
If the Voltric series is to be introduced, I think there will be other Voltrics by March All Englands.
It could be that Voltric will be released at this years World Championships. Yonex remain very quiet about the racquet. I think they are hoping for another Z Slash type frenzy and sell tons of racquets and that's why I think they may decide to follow the format that was so successful last year.

Thanks Paul for your infos 🙂 . So now, patienceeeee. I hope you will have it for testing and reviewing it as you always do.
Yeah, I'm also wondering if the Z-Slash is so successful as in Belgium, I don't see much players with that racket, only two or three as I remember (a friend of mine has three of it). However, the AR-900 Technique seems to be a big hit but I still don't have the oppurtunity to hit some shuttles with it.
So if the voltric 70 range is going to come out in order to replace the AR range, it has to be good 'cause it can become a very big hit as well.
EDIT : A player from my club had bought two Z-Slash for his son who was a real competition player (He was in the top 10 in Mxd in Belgium). He told me that the two rackets broke right after they'd changed the strings and hitting a few shuttles with it. The two rackets were damaged at the frame when that happened.
As I know this person, he never puts more than 9kg for the tension (aroung 20lbs) but as the rackets were for his son, I don't know if it's true. But supposing it is true, we have two solutions : 1) he didn't change the strings proprely which means that his 20 years of experience haven't served him well . 2) the Z-Slash has a weakness, the frailty of his frame.
Apart from that, the Z-Slash is a superb racket as it is very fast and delivers lot of power, he said. Finally, his son has bought Armortec 900 Technique and it seems to work fine.
I just report that to all of you but I will let Paul analyse that as he is the one who has more experience.

Interesting information/
I have strung Z Slash to 23lbs without a problem and I know others who have done the same or even tighter. I haven't noticed any issues with the frame except that it will not withstand a serious clash with another racquet. That said, not many frames will continue to play trouble free after a serious clash. Most end up in the bin.

Hi everybody,
Paul, do you have any informations about the Nanospeed 3000 and the nanospeed 6600 which is supposed to be an update/replacement of the nanospeed 6000 ?
When are they going to be released and what is the big difference between those rackets as they all have a flexible shaft ?
Can we say that the nanospeed 6000 is an lightheaded version of the AR-600 ? Is the flexibility identical ?
This is for a friend which wants to buy a new racket. For myself, I may switch to the nanospeed series as I have tennis elbow which may be due to the use of head heavy racket but it is not sure as I really like my AR-600.

At the moment I am only aware of the release of Nano6600 and Arcsaber 9 FL. They are due to be released this week in UK. I will see them next Tuesday along with Voltric 70.
I expect Nano 6600 to be similar to 6000 model.
I hope to have more information when I see the Yonex team next week.
