Not surprisingly, I have received a request for more information on Yonex' latest high-end racquet Voltric Z Force.
Contrary to popular belief, I do not get special messages from Yonex staff telling me inside information on their latest products, although would love to be a secret tester for their products in development.
What I can say is already known and that is Lee Chong Wei is currently using a version of this racquet and won the first two tournaments of the season using Z Force. As a result, there has been a frenzy from badminton enthusiasts wanting to know a lot more about the racquet, especially when it will be released.
My guess, and please read, it is a guess and there is no information to support this, is that the Z Force will be released at All Englands in March. What I can say is that there may be a further release of the Z Force Special Edition around June/July for the Olympic Games in London.
At the moment I do not know when the racquet will be available for general sale but my guess is that late April will be when the first shipments will arrive.
I will continue to update you as and when I know more but for the moment you know all that I know. Please be patient.

First update on this post.
Yonex UK reps now have samples of VT Z Force. This suggests that an All England launch is very likely as samples will be with the reps when they show their customers in the Yonex Suite.
Based on this information, it's highly likely that the VT Z Force will be available in April.
Here's the sting in the tail…it is priced at RRP £210.00 so expect retailers to be selling around £180-190 mark. It won't be for the feint-hearted.
At the moment I have no idea what to expect with this racquet in terms of performance. My guess is that it will be stiffer than VT80, stronger than VT80, will take higher tension. What I don't know is whether it will be heavier in the head.

Zack
The question you should ask first is whether VT80 gave you what you wanted from a racquet. If the answer is no, then perhaps it's worth waiting for Z Force, although there is no guarantee you will like this racquet.
If you think VT80 really is the best racquet for you, whilst you should buy another I know that there will be lingering doubt whether the Z Force will be even better. Because of this, you're going to wait until there is more information available and you can test Z Force and make a final decision.
I have no idea when I will get Z Force to test. However, I do not expect I will wish to change from my VT80's because they already give me all that I need.
