Hi Shibby, just out of interest in a previous post you mentioned using the tk6000 what made you decide to change & buy a different type of racket? Have you had any luck sorting out the timing using the tk6000? Just curious what it is about the Voltric ZF II that caught your attention? Regards Dobbie: )

Hmmm good questions…im not entirely sure if im honest….which probably sounds daft. I bought the tk6000 purely on the back of Pauls review last year and thus far have not been disapointed. Its a fabulous racquet. I guess i just get itchy feet after a while and wonder if the stiffer shaft would suit. I love the look and design of the vtzf2. Ive never owned a yonex racquet as ive always used victor and just fancied a change.
End of the day im just curious if anyones tried one…..maybe someone can set me straight before i spend even more money!!!! If i do buy them ill be selling both tk6000 to fund i think!!

I agree the VT ZF ll looks a stunning racket. I also use the TK6000 & really like it, going to try a higher tension & a new string. Like you I’m curious about new rackets. I’m looking to test the TK9000, MX90 & the Jetspeed rackets. Just so I’m aware of what’s out there & what might help my game. But do have to say I think theTK6000 is a great all round racket. If you do try the VT ZF ll will be interested in your thoughts.

Like you Dobbie ive just changed to BG80 and had my racquets strung to 26lb today in an effort to try new things to see what matches my game and to see what will enhance it.
Both my racquets are 4u as ive found the lighter racquets cause my elbow less stress however im also tempted to go back and try some at 3u to see if a. My arm will now cope and b. What difference it will make to my game.

Shibby
I have Z Force II. i restrung it today and will commence testing on Monday. It will take just over 2 weeks before I can complete my review.
I also have TK9000 to to review. I am already part way through this and expect to launch in over a week.
Shibby you have to be careful. In the quest for perfection you can spend a fortune and never be satisfied. Having tested so many rackets over the years, not just for my blog but even before that, technology may have moved forward but in general players cannot hit harder than they did 30 years ago. You may find a racket that will give you a touch more of something, whether it's power, touch or simply confidence.
You are going to be hard pressed to beat TK6000 however no doubt something will come along to tempt you. But, forget the marketing as most of it is rubbish. Remember not so long ago Yonex Nanoray Z Speed. World record of 493Km/h. How many players using this racket have come close to hitting considerably harder? None. Even Tan Boon Heong who set the record is recording speeds around 287 kmh in tournaments. He's not even listed as the hardest hitter in most tournaments. So however Yonex tested to set this speed, it's completely rediculous.

Hi Shibby,
I've managed to get my hands on a voltric z force 2 4ug4 version recently and after testing it in a few sessions I must say it is a huge improvement over the original z force. I've been playing with a z force 4u since early last year and I'd thought previously that the racket was something that met all my needs. In my opinion, the z force II provided everything the z force provided before, power and accuracy in the back court, and now with a faster swing speed and better handling in flat fast exchanges and in the front court. I did switch back and forth between the z force and z force 2 throughout the session and had a better result with the z force 2 almost every time.
I'm sorry if it seems like I'm just singing praises for the newest yonex racket but I definitely feel like yonex made many improvements over the original z force model without losing much if anything in the process.
This is solely my opinion though, you may not have the same thoughts through your own testing.
Best of luck!

Having restrung Z Force II so that i can test it properly, I've spend some time with the racket in my hand.
It doesn't feel as head heavy compared to the original. The slimmer shaft is impressive but I'll know more when I test tomorrow night. I usually test over a few sessions so do not expect a full report so early.
I have to say this racket is a lot more impressive than Nanoray Z Speed which was awful. For once understated graphics elevate the racket and I must confess I am looking forward to testing it. It should be an excellent comparison bearing in mind I am already testing TK9000 at the moment and love it.

Come on Paul…it's been three months 😛
I know you are doing this for free and have given observations in the forums and in badminton central, but a full review has not come out yet.
I've tested both 3u and 4u already and have my own observations. I'm just wanting to compare your observations to mine. Most guys online have said this is a good improvement to the original.
I think you should review popular rackets in general and then occasionally some underrated racket. Almost everyone wants a great racket, not some above-average-but-not-great-racket which is cheaper in price. You might have noticed there are no comments on several rackets. Plainly, no one is interested in them. The nanoray z-speed is a great example of the opposite. It's a bad racket, yet gets lots of interest.
Any place to donate to your services online? I've gotten quite a bit of advice from you.
