Great to read you’re playing again and enjoying the game. I hope you continue to share your experiences in the higher division.

To give you some warning, expect the shuttle to come back more often and put you under more pressure. The name of the game now is patience and tactics. You must now move faster, play your shots faster and think faster.

If you look at top class badminton, the game is generally lost on mistakes rather than winners. Sure, there will be some brilliant moments when you catch your opponent off guard and hit a winner. But, expect that you need to rally and find a weakness or weaker return. Overall, you are not going to get the easy kills now, but that’s good too. It means you’ll be really tested. Just keep your cool and remain patient as most mistakes are made from players trying to finish the rally too soon.

Good luck this season.

Paul
