Hi guys,
Just to let you know, I have started a blog on wordpress, mainly focussing on technique (although this may change depending on feedback)
My first article on 'how to gain power and control from your grip' went live Sunday morning and has had over 600 hits from across the world! dead chuffed 🙂
You can find it here: http://badmintonguide.wordpres…..-your-grip
Hope you find it useful.

Ha cheers Pete, I really am so bad with technology!
Lets see if I can work out how to do it myself…
Yeah, my link didn't work, I think there is some kind of bug on Wordpress where if you paste the website address and then highlight the text and use the link button, it seems to shorten the wording as text AND as the link address! But if you do the method that you've just done, it seems to work fine. I only bring this up so that others are aware of this problem.
There are a few “features” with Wordpress I'll give you that!
Haven't yet read your blog properly yet so will give you some feedback once I have!
Oh look, another feature, my smiley drops down to a new line even though I didn't write it like that!

Great article Stuart. Without the right grip and relaxed hold it is very hard to play anything near the right technique. But its an area of the game that is so under appreciated. A lot of players I know find it simply too boring to practice! No wonder there is such an oddball of grippage out there :o) I enjoyed working with you at Lillishall a while back, keep up the good work 🙂

Hi Stu
An excellent explanation on a much neglected area of the game. Many badminton tutorials say to use a ” relaxed grip” but I can't think of any that give instrucion on how to achieve it.
I tell my players, particularly the younger ones, that I want to see a tunnel between the handle and hand.
Looking forward to the next one.

Stuart
Now you are going to understand how I feel. You write something good and the feedback is overwhelming and before you know it, you're writing more…and more…welcome to my world!
I've loads of articles and racket reviews on the go at the moment. So whilst my website hasn't changed for some time, it's going to get very busy!
