So here I was thinking to myself “What would be a fun, witty title for such a thread?”

Evidently,
I’m more creative with my shuttling than I am with thread titles. So
here it is. Far as I can see, we have some great people in this forum,
and a great coach/forum admin, and a great general topic.

The forum itself is, so far, way below it’s potential.

There
are three problems that I can identify. One is that we have too few
members. That’ll take care of itself. Secondly, we’re not active enough
posts-wise. Having more members and more threads will take care of
that. Thirdly, we lack innovation.

And that will be the catalyst.

I
know that you either have wonderful ideas of what you could add to the
forum (on your own or with help from our admin-deity), or that you can
come up with amazing concepts if given the chance. This is that chance.

The
thread will be a discussion/suggestions box/whatever works. We need
your ideas and inspiration, and speak as freely as you can!

I,
for one, would love to have a mental aspect section, one where we go
into actual techniques, personal strategies, ways to hold nerves and to
excel, be it with NLP, personal experiences, etc.. It’s my biggest
suggestion at the moment, and I’m just putting it out there.

That said, Paul seems to be planning something on that end. Either
way I’m going to have as much to say as I will have questions for our
more experienced shuttlers about the mental side of things!

Passing the torch now! Who’s next?

I'll be next!

I've been away for some time as family life has taken over but am slowly getting back into things. Currently short on time as it's that time of the year again where everyone's strings are snapping due to the cold snap (pardon the pun Wink) so have even less time than normal.

Getting my badminton mojo back now and want to help others as I believe that others will help me at some point so it's only fair for me to give help back. I say help, more like opinion's!

I will be trying to find the time to write some posts on stuff I've got floating around in my head, so watch this space!

Marc

Why not post your questions and then we'll have a go at answering them for you.
