My partner is quite strong and we have a fairly standard tactic to get into a traditional position.

If she is forced back she plays a drop shot, ideally dead centre of the net, and comes level sides with me, it limits the return to a net shot or clear.

Unless the net shot is exceptional, she takes the return and then we're on the offensive.

This generally works as early on we can establish a very aggressive game plan and our opposition knows we will punish any less than perfect returns.

It puts most opposition under pressure but when we come up against a pair who can read it and come up with a good defence against us, it's always makes for a really enjoyable tactical fight.

It isn't that hard to implement and tends to give the lady lots of confidence after a couple of kill shots, it also helps when you want to suggest different tactics if you've already proved one good way of playing.

Obviously, if we've noticed a weakness in the net returns we'll play on that, and a half decent smash to someone expecting the drop works well too.

I also loved playing doubles , it makes me experriment shots in different angles .. I have tried playing singles but i easily lost my energy i dont have that stamina that could support my style in playing my game. In double it is more chaallenging because the shuttle comes in an instant requiring us to have fast reflex and extremely strong smashes to surely kill the ball. I felt very happy when im in the game specially when my opponents are good it challenge me a lot to perform better and do my best …SmileWink

Smile  playing mixed doubles requires good communication skills between the two player ,this is to prevent misleading during the game. In a play ,players must be balance to create a nice match/game in the court.

Good communication is required in level as well as mixed doubles. It’s required at all levels of the game and yet it never happens in most cases. A word or two is basically it and yet a well constructed tactic played with conviction from both players, even they lack skill, will work wonders to win a game.
