Hi paul

My coach says that i have shin splints cause the lower leg bone is hurting. Do you think i should sit out of badminton for a while and if so around how long?

I've read a lot of posts like these on BC and other sites. I've also read a lot of horror stories about people getting an injury by pushing their luck. There's a simple, universal answer to “My X is hurting, should I Y anyways?”.

Go see a physician about it. It's the sensible thing to do. Always.

I agree with Marc. Only a professional can really give you a correct diagnosis and treatment.

Rest is important here. Failure to rest the injury properly will only ensure it returns.

Do what you know is right and then you’ll be able to enjoy your badminton again.
