My favs: 2012 Lin Dan (so much depth, strategy, stamina, skill combined), 2010 Fu Haifeng (I really also like Cai Yun), 2015 Zhang Nan. I like them, but I’ll never play anywhere near them in style, let alone skill.

I have admired so many players over the years, from Mike Tredget, Nora Perry, Martin Dew, Gillian Gilks, Morten Frost, Liem Swie King up to present day superstars such as Lee Yong Dae, Lee Chong Wei, Lin Dan.

If you take time to study a good player rather than watch the game, it’s amazing what you learn.
