I went and played Badminton last night for the first time since I was at school – 30 odd years ago. I absolutely loved it apart from all the aches and pains when I woke up this morning and the fact that the racket I was using must have has a hole in it!!!

Been busy on the internet today looking for a racket etc and found this site so registered and thought i'd say hi.

Definately got the bug and can't wait to “play” again next week.

Going to buy my first racket tomorrow. Thinking of Yonex Armortec 70MEGA G2. Is this ok for a novice?

Thanks for taking the time to read this

Hi Steve

Welcome to my forum. Living in Crosby you are not too far away from me.

Feel free to ask as many questions you like as they always tend to stimulate activity and the brilliant forum members always rise to the challenge of a question. There’s always a tonne of great information on the forum pages so fill your boots.

ARmortec 70mega has been a very popular racquet for  novices so it should be fine for you.

Hi and welcome to the forum, glad to hear that you have returned to the sport and that you are enjoying it already!

Already talking about getting a new racket, sounds like you have well and truly caught the badders bug!

I don' think Paul does but I am sure he will help you locate a coach that does.

Have you brought your new racket yet? How have you got on with it? Smile

I have bought a new racket but not used it yet. I ended up buying a Voltric 5. Looking forward to giving it a go on Monday.

Also bought a pair of SHB200EX shoes.

All the gear and no idea springs to mind but I can only get better – hopefully

Neslo

I don't have a regular coaching time for beginners as I prefer to work with intermediate to advanced players. However I can always be booked for one-off sessions.
