My name is Graham, I am 28 years old and I am from Glasgow, Scotland. I am fairly new to badminton as I really just started to play badminton after I moved to Thailand this year (2012). I have been playing badminton for about 7 months regularly and I have received some coaching also, I would say that I am at low intermediate level. I have fallen in love with badminton and I am totally addicted…what a shame that I wasted so many years with other sports!!!! 🙂

I am looking forward to 2013 being a year where my badminton skill increases and learning from Paul and all on this website and forum.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!

Graham (GD)

Hi Graham and welcome to the forum!

Don't worry about the “lost” years that you had from not playing badminton, you have many years ahead of you. One of the great things I love about badminton, is that hopefully, when I'm older (as in much older), I will still be able to play and play well! Being young and fit helps, but we have someone who is nearly 70 and still playing really well. Unlike other sports like rugby or football, you can still carry on playing for many more years!

Out of interest, are you now based in Thailand still?

Hi Pete,

Thanks for the encouragement. Yeah I am still in Bangkok, will be for the foreseeable future.
