Hello all;

I am mature student of badminton. In 2012, I started playing at the YMCA downtown once a week – just rallying with random Y members for fun and fitness. On the whole, I enjoy it, but I didn't like the unsolicited comments & / or conflicted instructions from some members. 2 months ago, I started taking private coaching at another badminton club. I am now working on my clear/drop/net play and basic footwork. I don't participate in matches. I practise shadow exercises – homework from the coach – at home on the roof. when I get a chance. I try to improve my stamina by doing jump rope and sprinting up the stairs at the park. I also do core exercise when I watch TV. I think I spend about 2-6 hours a week on badminton related activities.

I have crashed badminton gatherings in Vancouver, B.C., San Francisco & Guongzhou, China.

When I am not playing badminton, I do Chen style tai chi and Wudang sword routine. Sometimes I go swimming but not often.

Thanks for reading

Best Regards

May
