After 8 years of inactivity, I started playing again last year. I loved this racket both for single and double. But broke it recently.
The rackets provided me a good powerful smash (even though it is not a head heavy racket) and good control for drops.

Could anyone advice me a good equivalent?

Thx

In addition, is the Arcsaber 11 a good choice?
My only concern is it won’t deliver the same power.

Hi Bram
As you’ve probably found out it’s very difficult to find a like for like replacement for a favourite old racket.
From what I can glean the SP900 comes in at around 82 grams and a fairly even balance.
The AS 11 is a 3u, a touch heavier, so it should deliver the power you need while still being slick in defence.
If you can, try before you buy as it’s not cheap.
Paul has tested the AS11 at

Hope this helps

Thanks for the advice Roger.
Indeed a difficult task to find a new racket.
I have read many reviews from Paul and found them very helpful.

Hopefully i can try the AS11 soon.

Thanks to a friendly opponent from another team, i have been lucky to test te AS11 and also the Voltric 80 (not e-tune).
My findings about the AS11: Good control, netplay, clears and defense were okay. But, i didn’t get a good feeling about the smash, it was not powerful enough. The head felt also a bit lighter then my SP900.

The Voltric 80… What a racket. It’s definitely a more head heavy racket then SP900. But clears were so effortless. Never before my smash was that hard. Defense was a little bit more difficult, less maneuverable compared to SP900.

I never thought that V80 would be something for me, because its a head heavy racket. Defense is definitely something I have to work on.
But after playing with it, I hope to see this racket soon in my bag 🙂

Bram

I fully understand how you feel about VT80. Sadly it is not made anymore although there are a few places still stocking it. VT80 Etune plays very different so be careful if anybody tells you it’s the same racket.
