Doubles is an extremely fast game in badminton. The game requires competent skills, a great serve and excellent positioning.
Watching intermediate standard badminton highlights the lack of understanding in doubles positioning at this level. In many cases, this is THE critical piece of the game that results in constant loss of points.
The understanding between two players, knowing the roles and requirements from each at any given time is essential. Positioning forms the greatest part of this understanding, and yet is often the reason for frustration and sometimes disagreement on court.
My aim with this first video is to help you grasp the basic positioning you need to adopt in your games of doubles.
